When you join the Zonta Club of Jefferson City, you’re becoming part of something more than a local business women’s club.

Zonta Club of Jefferson City is a charter member of Zonta International, comprised of more than 1,200 Zonta Clubs with more than 30,000 individual members in 65 countries and geographical areas around the world and one of the first global service organizations that understands women’s unique role in the 21st century.

By aiding and supporting local community organizations and Zonta International programs you are sustaining and shaping women’s lives through service, education and advocacy; working together to make women’s equality a reality, in a local and global community.

The Zonta Club of Jefferson City is proud to hold the position as the largest Zonta club in the world, with a membership of 106 (December 2011).

Members of the Zonta Club of Jefferson City are leaders of today and tomorrow; professional women who hold leadership positions within their work place and their community.

Zontains of Jefferson City commit hundreds of service hours and thousands of dollars to a wide range of community service projects both locally and abroad. This commitment strengthens and improves the well being of women and addresses the mission of Zonta International.

Service Projects include:

• Supporting shelters for survivors of domestic violence
• Empowering women through educational assistance
• Informing and encouraging women facing cultural and linguistic barriers about the early detection, diagnosis and treatment of breast cancer
• Sponsoring Z clubs and Golden Z clubs for high school, college and university students
