The 24th Annual Women of Achievement Yellow Rose Luncheon, sponsored by the Zonta Club of Jefferson City Foundation, will be held Wednesday, May 21, 2025, at the Capitol Plaza Hotel. Zonta is an international organization of professional women committed to building a better world for women and girls through service and advocacy. Our local Zonta Chapter has made a commitment to the advancement of women by supporting local organizations and projects to help women, as well as awarding Second Chance Scholarships to assist students who want to advance or start new careers. The Second Chance Scholarship Program has changed the lives of many local women who needed a second chance at their education. We have awarded nearly $400,000 in scholarships to date! We would love to hear your ideas for additional projects or organizations we may be able to assist!

As our 24th Yellow Rose Luncheon Celebration Speaker, Kesley Kobielusz will talk with us about her career in meteorology as a broadcast meteorologist on KOMU in Columbia. She will share how both her life and career were shaped by the storm that swept her neighborhood as a young girl. We will also learn about her work in this scientific field and what it is like to be a woman in a traditionally male-dominated career.
In addition, we will honor “Lifetime Achievement Winner” Sharon Naught, and twelve nominees for their contributions and achievements. Two of these women will be chosen as Zonta’s “Women of Achievement.” Please join us as we celebrate “Women Who Weather the Storm.”

This year Zonta is also supporting women-owned businesses at the Zonta Expo, which will be held in the atrium of the Capitol Plaza Hotel from 9:30 a.m. - 11:30 a.m. Space is limited, if you’re interested in participating, please contact Becky Miller at (573) 230-5527 to reserve a space.
