ZONTA CLUB SECOND CHANCE SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAM
The Zonta Club of Jefferson City, a member of Zonta International, an international organization of executive women, has established a scholarship program to benefit females who desire to begin or continue a post-high school education or technical training program with the intent of acquiring an education and skills necessary to enter or advance their status in the workplace

SCHOLARSHIP GUIDELINES & REQUIREMENTS
Women receiving the “Second Chance” Scholarship are subject to meet and maintain the following criteria:
Each recipient is mentored by a member of the Zonta Club who acts as a liaison between the recipient and the club.
Scholarship recipients, while receiving scholarship funds are obligated to fulfill the following requirements or lose eligibility:
- Must be female (24 years of age or older) who resides in the central Missouri area
- Must be committed to the pursuit of post-high school education and/or training
- Must verify financial inability to attain education without the scholarship
- Must provide proof of a high school diploma or an equivalent
- Must submit requested high school, GED or recent transcripts from the current school
- Must demonstrate personal discipline and perseverance
- Must complete and submit the Second Chance Scholarship Application and all requested documents
- Must live in Missouri and have been accepted into a Missouri College or University Degree Program, Vocational or Technical Training Institution

Scholarship recipients, while receiving scholarship funds are obligated to fulfill the following requirements or lose eligibility:
- Must complete a minimum of 9 hours a semester (13 week period), unless prior club approval is authorized
- Must submit changes from one program to another in writing, for club approval
- Must maintain a cumulative GPA of 2.50 and submit a copy of grades to the club before receiving funds for the next semester or term
- Must be open to having their financial status reviewed
- Must report in writing, the status of post-high school education or training each semester
- Must be committed to the mentor program and be receptive to being contacted
- Must be free of substance abuse
